      Looks like a royal pain in the azz to me. Irons would be faster and probably easier.

        Putting them on seems like the easy part no matter what method you use. Breaking the bead and getting it off...

            agreed. It takes me 20 minutes, 47 profane words, and 2 smashed fingers to get an old tire off, but only 5 minutes, 8 profane words and 0 smashed fingers to put a new tire back on.

            I bet it takes more than that to get all those straps to cooperate. It's a fantastic idea if you just want to try it though. I bet it would work great for a tubed-tire.

              $40 at harbor freight and I never have to worry about cursing, mashing fingers, or otherwise getting frustrated... break the bead in under 1 min and put the tool away again. Done (with that part). Pull off old tire, put on new...
