Is this possible with larger tires (120 - 180) or just the skinny trail bike tires?

Looks like a royal pain in the azz to me. Irons would be faster and probably easier.2000 Katana 600

What about that?
agreed. It takes me 20 minutes, 47 profane words, and 2 smashed fingers to get an old tire off, but only 5 minutes, 8 profane words and 0 smashed fingers to put a new tire back on.
I bet it takes more than that to get all those straps to cooperate. It's a fantastic idea if you just want to try it though. I bet it would work great for a tubed-tire.

$40 at harbor freight and I never have to worry about cursing, mashing fingers, or otherwise getting frustrated... break the bead in under 1 min and put the tool away again. Done (with that part). Pull off old tire, put on new...
