  • Pirelli Tire Question

I have been running the Pirelli Diablo Strada's for quite some time now, and really like them, specially since I ride through some wet weather down south.

I see they now have a Diablo Rosso. Anyone know what the difference is besides there speed rating?

Rossa is a more sport oriented tire. Less focus on rain traction and mileage, more focus on dry grip.

The new tire along the same lines as the Strada is the Angel ST. Higher silicone content for more wet grip. Different construction to allow for the use of a single compound while using the belt density to keep the center cooler and the sides warmer. Supposed to have about the same tread life as the Strada. It just came out late last year, so I haven't had the chance to run a set yet, but I have run it's cousin the Z6 Interact. Once you get over the strange profile on the Interact, it was a great tire.

    Just because they sound the same doesn't mean they are: there≠their≠they're; to≠too≠two; its≠it's; your≠you're; know≠no; brake≠break

Just a late note, I have ridden the Rossos for the past 4k or so miles and they are by far the most fantastic tire I've ridden. Quick warm up, fantastic dry grip, good in the wet, and aren't really showing any wear so far. I rode through a thunderstorm at 90mph on the interstate without a problem, and have gotten stuck in a few storms on the way through the city and had no problem with wet grip.
