A 240. It fits right on the stock wheel.

Conventional wisdom says a 160/60 is the largest tire you can safely run without changing the wheel.

BIGGER TIRE DOES NOT MEAN BETTER PERFORMANCE

        When will they learn...

I know it wont help with performance i just dont like how anorexic the stocker looks. Also was wondering if they made dogbones like lowering brackets or what. Cause i want to lower mine atleast 3 inches in rear and 2 in front.

Just don't change from the stock wheel whatever you do. If you do, you're going to run into a ton of problems lining up the disc to the caliper.

Hmm..... I don't remember having a ton of problems getting my disc lined up....

But then 98+ is probably different because of how the caliper mounts. I was pretty sure somebody here stuck a busa wheel in their 98+, though.

Awesome. A fat tire and low to the ground with no power. If you just make it incredibly loud as well, you'll have a 4 cylinder Japanese Harley.....

Going larger than 160 on the stock rim is problematic and not very safe due to several reasons, primarily... it's deforms the tire and contact patch. Bike will handle poorly, stick poorly, etc... and it's not just curves, but less contact patch on straights increasing wear and decreasing stop or acel grip.

If you want a larger tire on the back than 160, you need to be looking at moddifying the bike and swingarm to accept a larger rim. A 5.5" rim will allow you to go up to 180, a 6" rim can fit a 190-200 depending on the tire brands. All that can be done for probably less than $1k (depending on the options you want... chrome everything costs alot more of course..). If your wanting larger than that, the price jumps pretty significantly. I believe it was around $4k for the 240 tire kit someone else posted they had installed here on a post kat.

There are lowering links already available to lower the bike. Nothing is needed for the front to drop it 2" except a few mins and a couple of wrenches.

go with a 6 inch stretch on your swingarm and you can wedge a busa rear wheel in it with a 200. You'll need to make some custom spacers and go to a 520 chain and sprockets, but it can be done, and keep it centered, unlike some 240 conversions out there that offset the rear wheel to the right of the bike.
