please help me!! rear wheel fitting!

i know that post 98 rear wheel will fit on the pre without anything elsebut the disc as stated in other posts but is the 750 rear wheel the same as the 600 because i want to fit 160 rear tyre onto my pre because i cant find anyone who can get hold of a 150 back tyre, is the rear a straight swap? i have a 1991 600 katana and want to know if i should buy a 600 post rear , a 750 post rear or a 750 pre rear any help as this is doing my head in

600 and 750 are the same for the post 98 bikes.
