  • Bandit 1200 vs. kat rear axle

Does any one know the diameter of a bandit 1200 rear axle vs. a 98+ rear axle?

    Thanks,

    Jedd

      How about an 01

The ron ayers part number is 64711-08F10 for the kat and 64711-32F10 for the bandit 1200.

oh and a thirty dollar price difference. I have a project and I am at work and cannot measure and know some people have this info readily available

20mm, look at the rear wheel bearings. Ron Ayers lists the 01 Bandit 1200 as 20x47x14 that's IDxODxLength so it's 20mm

I have a bunch of rear axle bolts. PM me with the measurements you need, and I will check to see if I can help.

The One bearing that I saw was the
            16
BEARING (25X62X17)for the Katana, and the
            15
            B1 25X62X17 BEAfor the bandit 1200.

            Is this a mis-representation?

              01 Bandit 1200S (1200 is the same I checked)
              item 14 B1 20X47X14 BEA
              item 12 B1 20X47X14 BEA
can you point out were that says 25mm
item #15 that says 25mm, thats the bearing that sits inside the sprocket drum. There is a spacer in that bearing that will make it 20mm, those ARE NOT wheel bearings. The spacer is #10.

                ok then,

is the 2003 kat different from the 2006 kat with respect to the wheel bearing because we have

                Item 8 Axle, Rear 64711-08F10

Which is the same for both years but the bearing for 2003

                Item 14 Bearing 08143-63037 is
                B1 17X47X14 BEA
and the item 14 for a 2006 08123-63037 and item 15 08143-63037 we see that item 15 for the 2006 and item 14 for the 2003 kat match as a 17X47X14 bearing.

So does that make the kat axle 17mm dia.?

Oh and Item 15 for the bandit

                B1 25X62X17 BEA

And item 16 for the kat

                BEARING (25X62X17)

I'm not saying that you are wrong. There just isn't enough information without my bike with me and the actual wheel from a Bandit. However, I know that you are a wealth of knowledge arsenic.

Its just that there is some information form Ron Ayers that is sometimes included and sometimes excluded.
