170/60 dunlop on a 95 katana

What performance gains would you get with the larger tire? Anything special or would you just be able to hit your peg faster. From my experience with the 150, if i touch my peg, the rear wants to get out from under me at that point. The bike is really easy to get to where you drag your shoes on the road and possibly get the pegs on the road as well.
