TL;DR The 1997 pre 600 caliper parts are different from the earlier ones, breaking the typical "pre-1998" thing.
I ordered the wrong parts haha. Let this post be an informational warning to future caliper rebuilders. I will show here what changed in the rear caliper and may update it later with what (if anything) changed in the front calipers.
I ordered OEM Suzuki seal kits based off of the 1997 fiche because usually when I get replacement parts for this thing, the part websites (BikeBandit and RonAyers) have better information on the fiche pages for the later pre Kats than for the older model years and it's never been a problem before. My bike is the 1989 K model.
The microfiches for 1988 through 1996 all show the rear caliper dust seals as part 59108-16700 but in 1997 it changes. I didn't see this until now.
Similarly, the front caliper seal parts are all 51140-31E00 and 51110-31E20 until 1997 (RonAyers.com for reference).
I got the rear caliper seal kit part number 69100-32820. The RonAyers website lists in the description of that part the number "69101-05840", so I guess this means they think it's the same thing but with two different numbers? The 1989 fiche does not have a single kit with all of the rear caliper seals; the inner seals and the outer dust seals are separate part numbers 59107-18410 and 59108-16700 respectively. The Suzuki baggy that came in from RonAyers is labeled 69101-05840. The inner seals look identical to the old ones. The little seal between the caliper halves also looks identical. However, there are no big dust seals like my 1989 calipers have. In their place, two skinny large diameter seals much like the front caliper outer seals (but bigger) are included.

I also tried to order two of the 1997 front caliper rebuild part number 59100-19831 from the 1997 fiche. Long story short, RonAyers sent me the wrong thing and the right thing is waiting on backorder so I can't even say whether or not this part matches my existing front caliper parts yet. The microfiches look identical so fingers crossed I won't have to reorder those too. I will update this post with a comparison when I receive them, if I can't get the guy to change the order before the backorder ships.
I've seen people say something about the parts changing around 1993, but the microfiches seem to show the same thing front and rear up until the changes in 1997. Maybe the 1993 thing is about the 750... I don't know.
