  • Fork rebuild

My crunchy / grinding noise is back in the forks

Think it's probably a good reason to rebuild the front end. I have never done this on a Katana before.

Any advice or suggestions on how to best go about this? I have OEM springs I can put in, but I think there are Race Tech springs currently installed. How can I tell? And which specifications should I follow if they are not OEM kit?

Also - any suggestions on best fork oil?

there might be a number that you can reference with Race-tech if they are Race-tech, which you can match you what you need weight wise.. there are other springs available though. Install the emulators either way, much better response.

This is what confuses me. I have never heard of emulators and will have no idea what to do with them

Only forks I've rebuilt have been plain tube, oil and spring, so this could be fun lol
