Bandit shock on a kat

Ok,
We all know the bandit 1200 shock fits into a pre 98 Katana, we also know it raises the rear end a nice amount.

So heres my question...does a 96 bandit 600 shock fit in a pre 98, and at the same time, will it raise the height?

1200-600=600
pre 98-96 bandit =2

2X600=1200 X 3.14(pi) yummm Pie!!!

yeah I saw that but I was thinking about a shock upgrade as I'm a heavy guy also. (but I'm working hard right now to remedy that problem)
