is there a good front calliper upgrade for my 97 600 kat.?

Why do you want to upgrade the calipers? Get a good set of pads. unless you are racing the stock calipers are fine.

Get braided Stainless Steel brake lines and it will feel like new calipers. Then add better brake pads as hinow41 suggested.

the front calipers need new pistons & seal kit. so i thought of replacing with something that may be a better upgrade.

There's no quick and easy "upgrade" for the calipers. Unless you are going to swap in an totally different front end... it's not worth it. The stock brakes with SS lines, new pads, and fresh fluid will stop you just fine.
