I there an easy way to get to the rear brake reservoir without taking of the fairing?

Taking the fairing off isn't really a big deal. After you've done it a couple of times, you won't hesitate to remove them when necessary.sigpic Mulholland Hwy Ride

I've done it by only removing the rear fairing bolt and pulling loose the tabs on the next couple of forward mounting points. That gets you some access to unscrew the cap, and then I remove and refill with a big syringe. If you don't have a big syringe, it's probably easier to pull the whole panel than to run out and buy a syringe, but if you've got one it does simplify the job. Small hands help too...
