    will a shock absorber from a mk1 600 bandit fit a 1994 600 katana

  • #2
Yes, but it'll change the ride height, and a shock that old is likely shot anyway.

Will a rear shock absorber from a model 2003 GSF600S Bandit "part no. 62100-31F10" fit my GSX600F model 2000? the OEM part no. for the Katana is 62100-08F00

And if yes, will the ride hight be affected? and in which way?

I can order this shock from a 2003 Bandit for under 100$

Thanks in advance for any help.

To my understanding it is 314mm c to c.

Thanks Tmod for replying, I appreciate it!

excuse the noob Q but what does c stand for? "c to c"

And do you happen to know the c to c length of the stock rear shock on the +98 kat?

            thanks once again

"center to center" is my assumption.

Stock center to center on the 98+ kat is 290mm.

So putting the bandit shock on a post kat would raise the rear right about 2.5".

Yes IMO it is a no go.

I usually try and keep any raising of the bike to 1" (Bike height not shock height)
