  • Stupid Noob Question

Just to clarify, a pre kat is what year to 1998? im wanting to rebuild my calipers and im hoping the kit that says it for a 97 600 will work. if someone knows id appreciate the info, cause pricing it all out separate comes out to like 180 buck and i just cant justify that for some seals unless its the only option. BTW i am working on a 1992 600, thanks

      For the 600s it's 88 (It's got a couple differences), 89-97, 98-02 and 03+.

Generally, the 88-97 Kats get referred to as pre-98 or just pre bikes. 98+ get called posts or post-98 but there were a couple changes made in '03.

With the exception of carbs, seat, tail section, gauges and bars the pre-600s and pre-750s are pretty similar and you can swap parts between them very easily.
