  • Pre 600 front end and swingarm swap to post 750?

Okay I've searched but haven't gotten the answer I was looking for. I've got a 93 Kat 600. I also have a complete 01 Kat 750 parts bike. I was wondering if I can swap out the entire front end from the 750 to the pre? Is it a pretty much direct swap or is there a lot of fab work?
Second question. I found one thread that said if I remember correctly the rear swingarm will fit but the pivot points need to be grinded 3/16". Is this a direct bolt on? Keep in mind I have the entire 750 bike so I can use the post rims. Just about all the threads I found searching pertained to doing like a gsxr swap and nothing to do with a pre to post.

The parts will swap. Only the swingarm needs any adjustment, about 1.5mm off each side of the Pivot.

But then... those wheels will fit in the stock swingarm and front end you have.

      Thanks for the info!
Is there any advantage to using the 750? Like stiffer forks? Better handling? It looks as if it would be a little more upright where the bars are placed...not sure though. Just curious.

Both stock suspensions equally suck..... If you want to improve the suspensions, put in progressive springs to start with the front, and have Tmod rebuild the post rear shock for use on your bike.

So the post-98 750 rear wheels will fit on a pre-98 600 swing arm? I thought that it was only the pre-to-pre wheels were interchangeable..

Is that a straight swap in or do you have to change spacers, cushes, etc. or any chain alignment issues?

u just need a 98-02 kat front wheel and any year post98 rear wheel and 5 bolt rotor and it bolts up fine. im running the post98 rear wheel right now til i can afford krey's services

the post98 750 upper triple should provide a more upright position. i know the pre98 750 upper triple has the bars 1 inch higher then the pre98 600 upper triple so i'm assuming it would remain true with the post98
