I like the Belray fork oil. Amsoil has good stuff as well

for riders over 150 Lbs for standard forks with OE springs go 1/2 longer PVC spacer and 15w oil
for aftermarket springs like progressive go 3/8" longer then recommended and 10w

to heavy of an oil will slow down the action of the forks, too much preload will give you a harsh ride, both will reduce control and braking
