  • Brake Rotor specs for safety

    1999 Katana 600
I am looking at getting a safety done on my bike and was wondering if anyone knows the specs that the rotors have to meet to pass a safety. It would be a Canadian safety being done if that makes any difference.

    Thanks

The minimum factory thickness is stamped on the rotor and I just failed a Virginia inspection because I had cracks extending more than half the radius of the braking surface.

Sorry I don't have insight into Canadian inspections.

Min thickness 4.5 mm as stamped on the rear rotor on a 05 Canadian 750
More likely the pads to worn below specs then the rotor.
