06 750 Rear Shock Spring Adjustment

I looked in the owners manual and it tells me to take the bike to the dealer to adjust the rear spring, I have the spanner adjusters and not the click height like most have.

What I am wondering is does anyone know what is the max compression I can crank the pre-load adjuster to and be safe as far as coil compression?

You can crank it till you run out of threads on the shock. The troubles with that are your spanner will have a difficult time gripping the nut and if you need that much preload it means you really should replace the spring with a higher rate.
