  • Feedback on swap (rear shock assy. of 98 kat to a 93 kat)

Im looking into swaping the rear shock of my 93 750 kat with a 98 750 kat rear shock assy, as I checked on the forums it will fit my bike ok, only i have to figure where to install the reservouir wich I think should be no biggie, but i would like to hear from people who have done this swap their feedback, how has worked for them, did they noticed a better, smoother ride? etc. Thanks guys!

I put a 98+ shock on my 93 this spring . My old shock had over 50k on it , so I figured it'd seen it's day . I'm not sure how much better it felt (apparently I lack feel myself ) , but it fit RIGHT in just fine . Only problem is the adjustment ring is up top now , so you'd have to pull the rear fairings to adjust it , and it's the locknut/collar instead of the 7 setting ring the pre shock has .
