  • Master Cylinder ?, and new project

Just got this new beauty and am now digging in to start replacing the brake system. The front master cylinder is cashed out beyond repair. My question is what master cylinders can I use. Can I use most any Yamaha twin disc system M/C? Are the brake lines most all standard?
It is a 1979 XS750 Special with 5200miles. It was parked in 1982.
Thanks, and sorry its not a Kat question.

Might have better luck on a Yamaha board.... or search eBay for a replacement.

I've been checking e-bay, but the ones I see are either new (about $150 or more) or the reservoir is jacked up like mine. I am wondering if I could adapt a remote reservoir unit from a later sportbike. They run pretty cheap. I plan to change the bars to something lower and more level and it looks like a factory type would not sit level.
