Just bought my 01 a few weeks ago and it'll be coming home soon from the shop. Is there any specific brake caliper upgrade I can do? Different pads?

I have an '01 and an '03. I've never had issues braking with stock brakes. Are you anticipating issues? -
I just bought an 01' . I've heard stories that the braking was soft and kind inadequate at times.....

I've never heard that, and I've never had an issue with either bike, but I also drive carefully. I drive fast, but no stunts or dangerous maneuvers.Comment

Install better brake lines and HH brake pads.
Then you'll be chasing down your retinas as the pop out from stopping quickly...Comment
