rf900 shock

just one quick question- will any year do and do you have to swap the shock linkage ok so thats 2 questions

I *think* my RF900 shock was from a 96 or somethin like that, but bolted right in place of the old one.

I'll let you know in a few days. I got one on ebay and will be putting it in this weeked or early next week. Was planning on using the stock linkage though.
