so i got a set of chainn adjusters from a bandit 600. my axle is a lot smaller in diameter than the hole in the adjuster. the bandit adjuster looks to be a lot bigger and longer. looks like the allen screw will have to be socked all the way in and still might not be enough. i have a 90 kat 750. anyone have similar problems?

I know there are a couple of guys on here that have done that mod. I am looking to do it myself, and am interested in the answers from someone who has done it.
Might try a search for this subject. I am thinking Speede and CyberPoet are two that have done it already.

why dear god!
My chain adjuster on the right side is either slowly moving or the nut is coming unscrewed and its hard for me to move the adjuster forward.... any suggestions...Please, Just go home, relax, and have a think or two... hell... have as many as you can handle! It'll do all of us some good.

replace it now. Nothing short of a broken chain reeks as much havoc as a blown out adjuster..

I have the bandit adjusters on my kat. I just snugged up the axle as suggested by other members.
Here's a pic of the bandit adjusters next to the kat adjusters.

I have those Bandit adjusters also. I have a set of the Katana adjusters with no plates or nuts. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...117208090&rd=1
those are obliviously not in high demand. Can I take the Kat chain adjuster, cut the screw part off, drill and tap a hole then use the Bandit screw and plate? That way it's the Katana chain adjuster plate with the same ID as the axle OD. Maybe I don't have to tap anything, I can JB a nut on the inside.Last edited by arsenic; 01-22-2008, 01:24 PM.

I ground off the threaded stud (the "head" then falls out) leaving the hole.
I then tapped a bar of aluminum that is about the same width of the "box" on the axle yoke. I then just threaded a regular long screw in there. I actually did that before switching to bandit blocks. So all I did was buy the block from Bike Bandit. I think I posted a sketch at one point.
