So one of my neighbors dropped a 2x6 board on my front fender at school, so I decided just to switch to an 2nd gen. SV650 fender instead of getting mine repainted because I like it better. I mounted it similar to how seabass10369 mounted the rf600 fender in this thread http://katriders.com/vb/showthread.php?t=75417 with the rf600 fork brace. I had to drill four holes in the top of it, and shim the front slightly to get the position I wanted. I used smooth black plastic hole plug/fasteners like the ones used to hold on four-wheeler fenders and car door trim to fill the original mounting holes, which I think came out pretty good. I think it gives the bike a more modern look... I just might have to do the 2003 tail conversion this summer too. Other than that it was pretty easy, I even found a fender already painted the same color on ebay. Anyway, heres some pics, lemme know what you think.
