so i decided that my ugly scuffed up silver lever had to go so instead of buying new ones i just striped the protective coating of and sanded and sanded and sanded and polished them tell me what you think. ps they look scratched up in the pic but they really do look nice ill try to take a better one tomarrow.

For keeping your fingers on the lever, not really necessary though90% of motorcycle forum members do not have a service manual for their bike.

I said no, but it doesn't have the don't care option...I have thought of this, but at the same time I bought the "liquid rubber" (you know the stuff on some plyers and crescent wrenches- comes in a few colors) I got black to dip mine in....I figured I'd do a few tools too. So I'm up in the air with cutting them or not,,,I just don't know.
48 thousand miles with the stockers.. just bent a little.Horn broken--watch for finger....

As Anouka said they do serve a purpose. They absorb impact from a fall and will snap off or deform to keep from breaking the entire lever off so you can still ride home. I wouldn't cut them off personally. Anouka congrats for being great lookin' and smart too.
