I've not had any Tourmaster boots, so I can't comment on them. However, I've got two pairs of Sidi's and they've both been great. I don't see myself buying anything else.

          Oxtar

I was thinking of Going with Sidi as well for a bit there, but ended up gettin the Oxtar boots. Then again, it is pretty hard for me to find boots that fit.

Sidi seems to be the best choice.

I would buy both and try them on and keep the more comfortable boots. That is what I did. I could not decide between Alpinestar Ridge or Oxtar Matrix boots. I ended up not liking the Alpinestars because of where the cuff ended up on my calf. New Enough has a great return policy.

Exactly. Or atleast try them on at a dealership before buying online. Whatever model is more comfortable...BUY IT.

Take a close look at the specs. Generally, Sidi's are better in warm, good-weather riding than the TourMasters (which are better in cold/wet). Sidi's usually have significantly better ankle protection systems as well (which would be my basis for making the call).

                  One thought:
Neither of these boots has sliders. Neither appears to have anything special (at least from the pictures) in terms of additional protection, although they may well have under the surface (specs time). If that's the case, wouldn't it be cheaper/easier/more comfy to simply find a good set of specialty combat boots (I wear WW2 tanker strap-boots because they are ideal for summer touring; tongue sewn to the top, waterproof, oil-gripping soles, cool, steel toe/heal/part of the foot under the leather & reinforcement over the ankles, odd-foot-sizes easy to find and far more comfy to walk in when off the bike).

                  Cheers,

I like the appearance of the Sidi. The boots are comparable in performance, with Tourmaster having an edge in inclement weather.

You may want to consider the Oxtar Matrix boots. They have plastic cups at the ankle and shin for impact and abrasion protection. They are waterproof (I have tested this claim and it is true).

I own those Sidi boots and love them. They have excellent protection, very comfortable, and I find them perfect for wet weather 45degree riding. Even with normal socks my feet stay completly warm and dry.
I'm extremly happy with the purchase.

Get them from Newenough.com btw. Excellent return policy if for some reason you're not happy with them.
