i am not new to motor cycles but im am new to motorcycle lingo. what does this mean? alot of the stuff i like i see called squidy?!!

Squid is simply a derogatory term used to describe one who is either new to motorcycling (more specifically to sportbikes) or one who is reckless.
It's important to note that not all newbies are squids and not all squids are newbies.
It's pretty tongue-in-cheek for the most part...often used amongst friends like calling someone a "dork", "nerd", "goober", "Range" (<-only on KR), etc.
Upon carefull reflection, it seems that there's a little squid in us all.

There's a couple of guys I see here once in a while. They all have GSXRs and the gear you described, minus the 4 year old on the back. Atleast their eyes are protected by Oakleys! Those are shatterproof, right?Comment

It seems on those two links, anyone who customizes their bike in anyway is a squid. So I guess all the custom shops turning out those beautifull works of art just aren't in the know.Comment
