  • starter relay location ?

Can someone tell me where the starter relay is located on a 01 750 kat?
Or post a picture? I have searched this no result, thank you

There is a 6 or 7 pin relay right by the battery that I believe controls that the lights and something else. It doesnt look like a normal relay its a rectangle.

        It looks like this:
Suzuki GSX 750F KATANA 99 Starter Relay
It's mouted on the frame, near the battery box on the right side when stiing on the bike.

The "click" you're hearing is the relay working. Has the "brand new" battery been charged?

Yep for 8 hours on trickle. It has 13V I believe. The problem is intermittent (sometimes it will start, but most of the time it won't start). Maybe it's a loose ground or wire ?

Check the ground wire going to the starter could be a loose connection.

I have a feeling there is a bad ground or loose connection somewhere because the problem is intermitent and SOMETIMES it will actually turn over. I will have a look at all the starter/battery connections.

Just a thought, this happened to me, look on the right side of the tripple tree and find the wires from the ignition and wiggle them while trying to start it if it works lose connection
never argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to there level and beat you with experience.

well I got it to start...however I think it has some fuel issues. I cleaned the battery wires, tightened them up real good, checked the starter main wire, and cleaned the battery/engine ground...it turns over now, but just cranks and cranks forever. When I finally got it started, I was giving it gas as I was cranking it over. It idled pretty good (I just put in new plugs too) but when I rev'd it up, once the RPMs came back down it would almost die on me. It seems like the issue occurs upon deceleration. I rev'd it a few more times and then it died. It still just cranks and cranks. After I crank it a good 10-15 times the battery is showing about 12.5-12.7 volts.

So should I just pull the carbs and clean all the needles and jets? Or do you guys think I have a electrical/charging issue? I am stumped.
