  • R6S throttle mod with pics

There seems to be some confusing information on this.
    So I took pictures.

    Katana throttle

    R6S throttle part # 5SL-26240-01-00

The katana can is smaller meaning you need to turn it further for full throttle.
So my result is less turn for the same throttle.
Should result in less fatigue while riding.
Another note is that the 06-08 R6 non S has a bigger can yet but it may also require cutting the can carrier, the R6S is a direct fit.

    Happy modding!!!

The R6S tube, when actually mounted on the R6, is a 1/4 turn, right?

It won't be on the Kat, because the Kat's throttle cam is larger than the one on the R6 (the part that the cable pulls at the carb/tb set.)
Disclaimer: If what I say seems condescending to you, it's probably not. I don't know (or care) if someone already knows something I'm saying, because for every person that does know, 100 lurkers may not. No offense is intended, but feel free to take it.

R6S tube on Yamaha is 1/4 turn yes

      On katana its 1/5 turn

The R6 tube is 1/6 turn on katana

The katana cam is actually smaller by almost a 1/4 inch.
This means that the R6S tube pulls the throttle cable more but turns the throttle less.

So full throttle its easier to get to without moving your hand as far.
It will make throttle response quicker until you are familiar with the shorter pull.
But less hand movement should reduce fatigue.

That. I guess I said it the other way around.
