Remember parking in N.O. is about $20 a day anywhere you go. When Vanessa and I went we stayed close enough to the french quarter that we just left the car in the garage at the hotel and walked everywhere. A daiquiri or two and you don't even worry about how far it is.

You made do some research...for the time of day I'll be heading in parking will be around $6-12 http://neworleans.bestparking.com/#1 . I'm staying outside of N.O. cause the hotels I was looking at staying was charging $35 a night.

The way it looked it might not be there in the morning if you leave it on the street. We stayed at "Springhill Suites Downtown" http://www.marriott.com/hotels/trave...eans-downtown/ It's listed at 3 stars and $159 a night. I got it for about $60 a night on priceline. It was $20 a night for parking in a garage.
