03 busa rear shock on 99 kat 750

    If I remember right, your looking at major modifications to fit it. Cutting up the under side fender/removal of the battery box or relocating it backwards by at least 2". It will also dramatically raise the rear tail height, but I don't remember by exactly how much. I do remember someone posted a pic of their bike with it installed, and the chain rubbing on the swingarm was obvious.


    The compression stroke and internal valves is completely different, so... it doesn't really work well on a Kat. Unless you have to use that shock, there really are much better alternatives out there.

        I have a gsxr 1100 with a remote res. unit in my kat, a custom Tmod r&d shock.. it's a 1/2 to 3/4" longer than the stock unit if i remember.. and they are rebuildable
