Welcome and everyone is dead on. great forum for the Kat's. I just bought a 99 Kat recently, a 600 and couldn't be happier. Although I am a guy, I'm 5' 11" and on a good day hit 165. Not a ton of muscle here, but the Kat goes where i flick her and the worst part so far is picking it up!

Glad to know i'm not the only one that took MSF in crappy weather, but on a bike, it's all good! Again, welcome and have good safe rides!

Welcome aboard, I got my first bike last year (99 Katana 600) and road it for the first time after passing the course. It is the perfect first bike and I felt way safer on it immediately when compared to the bikes we road during the course.

My weather was about 90 and humid, making us pause 3 times for thunderstorms.
                    Currently in the driveway:

                    02 Ducati 748 Monoposto: Yellow & White
99 Suzuki Katana 600: Red (Sold to brother but holding at the house)

Welcome to the site Laura! Congrats on the course and the bike. I'm tall like you (5'10" here) and although my 750 is a heavy bike, it fits well with my height and puts me in a very comfortable riding position. Enjoy!

No. He's not amused at all about the bike. He says very little tho. Smart man.

Sky, I have an office in Ottawa (but I normally fly there from Waterloo so I won't have a bike to ride....)

Astro4x4, would LOVE to ride with you. I'm really slow at current. I'll check out the ride schedule. And until June 11th, (I'll get my M2 that day in prep for my birthday) I'm not allowed on highways.

Rexazz2, whereabouts are you? I'm in Beechwood West. PM me... I'll give you my whole address

Rode the bike last night. It went brilliantly!

I rarely do any highway riding,so your M1 only keeps you away from the big highways and you probably dont want to be there any how
will have to get you out to see some country
