My '91 Kat 1100 gets 39 mpg on long trips, same route, same
speed on my '11 C14 gets me 51mpg.
I think this disparity is the difference between electronically
controlled fuel injection and a fuel delivery system that relies on gravity pulling
fuel into a bowl so it can slosh around before going through some jets and getting sucked into the intake.

I don't get what you're saying.. I'm new to street bikes been riding dirt bikes my whole life but street is WAY different

The tank holds 5 gallons the reserve comes into play around 3.8 gallons

I am saying that at 150 miles on a tank, start looking for a gas station or you're going to learn how to turn the reserve valve while riding.

You're less than 25 miles from reserve or you're driving it like an 80 year old woman.
