  • Wanting to gauge a price on wheels and tires...

I've been rebuilding my Kat since around May...my buddy and I are really been digging into the mods this month and hopefully well have it completed soon...like many mods you end up with many extra pieces and for me the big hit are my wheels...So I am thinking about selling them and here are what they are:
Chromed pre98 600 front and rear wheels
Solid billet aluminium tire valves in anodized red (got them from Cyber)
    All Balls racing bearings
Pirelli Diablo Strada tires (120/70/17 in the front 150/70/17 Rear)
    Candy Apple Red wheel hub

They have less than 1,000 miles on them so there is a lot of meat left on the tires. I put the entire package together at the same time.

I was thinking of selling them for around $800.00 plus shipping. They are "plug and play" to a pre98 600 because you don't have to do anything but take your old wheels off and put these on. I'm not even taking off the front rotors, they are coming with the wheels. Also I was thinking if I do put these for sale the rear rotor was a bit worn but I have a new rotor and pads that I would throw in.

Now like I said I wanted to get peoples opinion of whether I'm out of my fricken head or if they thought the price was fair???

    What do you guys think???

I would say price is fair. That being said you are dealing in a limited market. Often (not always) Katriders are on a tight budget, and it may take you a while to find the right buyer, but I think it's in the ballpark.

chrome aint cheap .. tires aint cheap .. no idea on the other extras .. but nothing for a bike is cheap .. as stated before .. most people are on a limited budget .. but hey they can always sell off their exisring pieces and recoup a fair amount of the price
so many roads so little time

Kinda funny because people here told me I was out of my mind to think I'd get more than $50 for a set of used tires with only 2000 miles on them. I'd think the same logic would apply here. The rims are worth something and the tires are worth less than you think.
