I know people say that the katana has the heaviest barends out there. So you should go with the ones that are equal in weight. Since they are used to cancel or stop vibrations in the handlebars, so to light, they won't work. To heavy they might magnify the vibration. I went with a set for a "hyabusa" on ebay. DOn't know what makes them for the hyabusa, but there were some just like it for a gsxr. I think they just put that as a way to locate their product. I used them and had no vibrations and now that i have solid aluminum handle bars with them, vibrations are nonexistance.

If you are having a problem with virbration, try filling the handle bars with shot or bee bees. Or three is somethign out there called bar snake i think. But if you have oscalations then that is an alignment or tire problem.

Oh and the threads are pretty much universal for the nuts that hold the bar ends on.

I use a set for an early R6 that has just the bolt and not the expanding rubber insert. Only nice chrome ones I found at the time.

I can't find any that match the size of the ones on the kat. I just repainted mine.

            I've used bar snake...
            It works really well..
Though on a Kat the bars are so small I'm
not sure you'd get the same results I did..
            I used it on a CB750..

The size of the bolt I presume. I know there are different sizes and I don't want to order the wrong one.

I'm missing the one on the right. Vibration is almost unoticeable but for after riding for a long while, my hand feels like pins and needles.

I'm leaning towards something like this:

But there are others that only state a size such as "7/8", rather then the bike model... I just don't know how they match up.

the problem with those is they will be MUCH lighter than stock and will not dampen much vibration. there are some on ebay that I cosidered that claim to be big and beefy they are chrome too.

the taper for one. email the seller and ask them if they can tell you the weight and/or material they are made of. I'm guessing aluminum.
