IDK if the top tree bolt on the kat can be swapped out or not. We'd need someone with experience taking that apart to provide bolt dimensions.

Oh, Ok. At least there other options such as the bolts near the handlebars that might work just as good.

The stem dimensions for a post would be different from a pre wouldn't it? Ive got a post stem on the garage Ill check some dimesions, an Ill have to try to do the pre while its hooked up.

i use the suction mount and attach it to my windscreen.excess wire goes around cable/harness on the bike if it falls.

Same here, inside the windscreen, tether to the mount and GPS in case of suction failure.
12v lighter power to a 12v accessory socket under my seat.

no expensive mounts!

I've got my mount, and arm but I need to cradle to fit a Magellan roadmate 1340. Can't find anything but dash, vent or cup holder mounts for that model .

Magellan sells extra oem cradles but nothing bike specific for this model. I'm gonna have to hit a store that carries a decent selection of gps cradles to see if a universal one will fit.

There's a shop up in Toronto I'm gonna check out this week and see if I can find anything, they apparently have a ton of ram stuff and mounts.
