I can certainly identify with becoming hooked on track days, but I haven't stopped my canyon riding. If anything, track riding has made a more proficient rider, while at the same time motivating me to keep it safe and sane on the street and keeping me from trying to go "all out" where I am not supposed to.

Indeed CB. That's what I liked about the SCCA's. It helped "hone" my driving skills. Not that I ever had to USE them, but it's just nice knowing what my car COULD do...If needed.
