Too soon for a definitive answer on the windscreen, but I think I like it. Took the kat out for a spin to start testing jet kit settings. Short ride, heavy traffic, but I was getting less buffeting to my head than normal.


About the jet kit...
Make sure your sync tool is working before you embark on this type of adventure. Cause guess whose isn't! Hint: This guy.

So...That's a right royal pain in the dick. Need to order more fluid for it. Order placed, ETA...9/22-10/5. Jesus, are you kidding me? I had to pay $10 shipping for an $8 product, and there's a 2 week delivery window? Not cool.

I installed the jet kit needles, changed the A/F screws to 2.5 turns out, and got float heights all set to 14mm (both float height and A/F screws were WAY out). Put everything back together and....it runs poorly. Think it's only really running on 3 cylinders...Not gonna worry too much about it because it needs synching and I can't do that yet...


Upon opening up the carbs, also discovered I also need a rebuild kit. Time has not been kind to the rubber in there...Some o-rings are shot to shit, and the floats are all showing wear rings on them...

Yay more things to do!

Never did 4 carbs before. Hoping to learn a bit from y'all
that have been turning a wrench on these boogers for a few
laps around the Son, er, sun. LOL

I've always done my own labor, then did it again to fix
what I did wrong the first time. (Hey, where does THIS go?)
After buttoning the whole thing back up.

Lol yeah, been there, learned that way... First time takes forever. Next time is frequently half that.
