Locco, check out www.twistedthrottle.com and look at their SW-Motech mounting set-up for the Kat. Real clean when the saddlebags are removed from the bike, and only three small lock plates remain when you don't need the saddlebags. Here is a pick of my 02 Kat with Givi wingrack and Kappa topbox.
Don't think the rack is too bulky when riding without the cases (its all black so it blends nice with the bike).
Would like to clean up that rear end though. Have planned the shovelchop and possibly some flushmount rear blinkers this winter, maybe the rack could be cleaned up a little also.
As of now i have no sidecases, but will be in the market for some for next summer.2002 GSXF 750
