pictures are pretty self explanatory. it looks to me like i was a little rough on the tank, but it doesnt appear to go entirely through the paint. open to comments/suggestions on how to fix.

Note: This is after Meguiar's Scratch-X x 2, as noticed by the fine little swirls. The scratches do not catch my fingernails, so I believe they are mostly clearcoat.

some mother's carnuba wax will take the swirls out....

for the scratches if they are just in the clear coat....a good wax and buff should take them out...

wet sand with 2000 grit sandpaper and buff with a buffing wheel and a good compound.
