My 99 Kat 750 has some not so fun issues curently.

Symptoms include, but are not limited to:

throttle will not close on its own
    Popping exhaust during acceleration
extremely poor gas mileage ( like flushing a toilet in my gas tank)
3k-8k Rpm little to no throttle response
    sounds and feels terrible
did I mention serious lack of power?

Ok, so it seems like you have a host of issues.

Throttle won't close on it's own. Lube your throttle cables and carb linkages.

Crappy gas mileage + no throttle response = not sealing float needles

Pull your spark plugs, look for fouling. If they are fouled, that tells you which carbs are mucked up.

Mine was doing the same thing....float sticking. Freed it up and all is well again.

OP hasn't posted since this thread in March 2012....so....probably not an issue anymore.
