  • Well its stripped down now what???

So I stripped all the body work and fairing stays off the bike...
It looks like a big dirt bike with street tires .
    Now where do I go???
I found 05 gsxr fairings for 350 on craigslist but would the need to buy headlight and modify the fairing stay and the gauges.
I also found an r6 tail on ebay that I think would look cool.

I guess I'm stuck as to what to do...
My fairings aren't repairable any more except the rear and I guess that would work for street fightering it.

Can y'all help me out with some pic ideas for a pre 750???

I like your plan, You can use the old fairings as a base for the gxxr ones, a guy here did that, ummm nighthawk, knighthawk?

I think he did the R tail too..,

That would be Waltari that did something like that. He put a R6 front end on. Used a RC51 tail. did some other things. It was slick looking.

          Here it is..

Got a tweaked piece of plastic? Some roughed up paint? Here's the place to get some tips on repairing your Suzuki Katana.

Unfortunately he never posted good photos..

HS, Matt grafted the RF900 top to the Kat..

That's pretty freaking sweet looking. Where's the build on that?

That's the pic that's got me thinking swap but I couldn't find a better pic or details of the swap. I guess if that's the route I go ill have to make a build thread...

Yeah the dude basically slapped the fairings on outside of the Kat ones, he did clean it up, as I remember is ended up looking pretty good.

In the thread he said he made new mounting points that match the frame to the fairings...

Well that's what I'm shooting for I want the oh wow factor that people won't know what it is until I tell them.

Kinda like street fighter and rat bikes, but I like and want the full fairing look.

Now I just gotta start collecting parts and preparing for my new/old bike conversion into a custom bike that gets all kinds of comments and stares.
