    Hi

I have a 92 1100. I haven't had it very long 4 to 5 months. I don't think the last owner rode it much. Just sort of a feeling.

Anyway do you know what the stock 1100 setup is. I have read some threads and it is supposed to be a 532 but I am pretty sure I have a 530 so I'm sorta confused. I will be wanting to change the chain and sprockets at the end of this season so I am trying to do my homework now. My last few bikes have been shaft. I haven't played in the chain world since I was a 20 something and that was a long time ago LOL

    Thanks in advance

    Tom

Old Skool, stock is listed as a 532 chain and a 15/52 sprocket set, you can do a 530 chain for it, that will give you a better selection of chains and sprocket combos.

I see on e-bay a chain and sprocket set. It says it's a 530 conversion but for an 88. Is the 88 different from the 92. It is the proper spocket combination that I want but because it says it's for an 88 I have been holding off on ordering
        Thanks for answering

I did some checking, not sure why they list 2 different sets, the hub dia and mounting hole pattern are the same... and the tooth counts are the same as well.

That was my concern that the output shaft on the 88 was different than on 89 and above, But if in fact it's not then the listing is just messed up. I have emailed the vendor to get his slant on things. Thanks Very Much
I will keep you posted as to the vendors reply

The C/S sprockets are all the same for the 600, 750 and 1100 Kats.

Might sound silly but if you dont know what size sprockets you have, there are 2 ways to find out. 1 - it will be stamped on the sprocket itself such as '47' or '15' for the front
If you cant find that for some reason the next easiest way is to count the teeth. Cant get much easier than that

Chains and tires won't account for the error that exists from the factory.

can anyone confirm whats deemed stock rear for a 91 750 ?

gearing commander and a few google search both say 47 .........

                              Anyone care to say different

I'm thinking of dropping 3 on the rear for the project to scrub some of the revyness

                                JT lists 15/47 for 89-97

Dropping 3 in the rear, you will lose some acceleration.. i run a 15/46 and am happy with so far..
