I'm pretty much wearing full gear unless I'm pushing the bike across the yard or driveway. It's a good habit to get into, cuz if you're wearing gear even for the stupid little trip down the street, you know you'll be wearing it when that stupid little trip turns into a 3 hour range-fest.
