  • GOOP vs plastic welding

I have read alot about welding plastic here. Seems kind of tough for a knucklehead like me.
I have used the glue product "Goop" for many simple repairs. it REALLY holds.
I glued an emblem on my old BMW motorcycle engine. The emblem is directly on the side of the motor and it gets hot! It has held for over 3 years now.
I thought about slipping some into the cracks of my broken fairing pieces.
It wont be pretty, but I think it will hold.
    Any thoughts?
    Peace,

The truth knocks on the door and you say, "Go away, I'm looking for the truth," and so it goes away. Puzzling.

Hey give it a try.. Don't forget for cracks you can also try ABS glue. It's really a solvent that "melts" the fairing so the two parts fuse. Like model glue. I found a piece of Fiberglass sheet behind the crack and soaked in the glue will fuse in as well. The fiberglass doesn't really fuse in but "sinks" into the melted ABS.. Sand the area you want to re-enforce with the fiberglass.
