UPDATE 6-30-15

Nothing special today, checked the internals to make sure there was no surface rust forming (paranoid I know) and my gauge cluster and surrounding plastic came in the mail today perfect! I got the entire thing for $59 shipped. Cannot complain. I will post pictures another day.

I am not sure if anyone is actually following this or if I am writing to myself but feel free to chime in with suggestions. I am sure once I get the body work going more people maybe interested

UPDATE: 7-4-15 (happy 4th of july everyone)

Well I pulled the crank case apart today and found the problem I already knew I had.

The one gear a had broken and then the busted part ground down the other gear (not sure on the names of said gears) so I will have to replace 2 gears.

Have not decided if I am going to replace the entire tranny.. thinking about it though! My only fear is not knowing what I have with the "new" tranny and I know whats wrong with this one.

All other gears, seals, bearings, and forks look fine. Everything else in the engine is fine as well. Case came apart relatively easy(plastic hammer around the edges) and now I will just make the choice to buy an entire new one and wait for gaskets and such.

UPDATE: 7-8-15

I ordered a complete transmission on eBay for $55 shipped! Came with all gears, forks, drums, shift rod(idk the name) and everything down to the nuts holding the sprocket on. I got it in 2 days flat with free shipping.

Looks flawless and I am excited to get it in there. I will most likely not doing anything for about a week because I am going on vacation starting Saturday (7-11-15). I am going to order my gasket kit and should have the motor all put together about a week after my vacation! (pending shipping times for the gasket kit).

Pretty excited.

Then its on to the frame work!

Yeah I was very excited! Most others were more than double just for the gears. Not that I need much else but spare parts are always good and I can probably sell the rest and make more than my money back on eBay. Unless any members here need the parts then I will sell the extras cheap/at shipping cost.

I will make a parts for sale thread if I am allowed too. I think I need to have 50 posts first? I will look into it because I am sure I will have a bunch of extra stuff left over when I am done. I always do with projects like this lol. I love to help members on sites rather than just make a few extra bucks on eBay.

LOL, well I am sure I will hit 50 posts quick as I am at 43 now. I am not too concerned. Once I get into a project like this its a daily obsession (ask the GF... she hates it) and I am online all the time looking at the next thing. You should see my eBay watch list.... I will be broke in no time! :P

Lol my wife hates it too she says whenever I start to do something and get obsessed and have to get it finished which is kind of true I'm the same way with all the guns that I build and by the way since you aren't alone forcement I'm sure you like firearms you should scroll down to the bottom of the homepage and try to get into the shooting section of the forum you have to pm I think it was zuki?

I will look into it! Yes I like firearms :P I currently carry an issues Glock 19 Gen4. Have to carry it now due to policy. Would rather carry a 40 or 45 but eh.
