  • My custom katana build.

    Beware: Sacrilege ahead!!!!!

So i started by cutting the tail off of this beast and custom-welding a much more favorable design to allow for an 04-05 gsxr600 tail. I then retro-fitted all remaining fairings from an 06-07 yamaha r6..Headlights and all! She is pretty much the coolest-looking 95 kat ever..

If you guys are wondering why she sits so low...well, that's because the guy i build it for is all of about 5' 2", so we pretty much murdered the race-driven geometry of the bike.. He feels it important to be flatfooted on the ground as i continue to plead with him to atleast bring the fork tubes back through the triple tree a bit!

Oh yeah..I didn't like the katana swing arm and rear end, so i fitted a yzf600r swingarm and rear wheel..She now sports a 190 rear tire(although i advised him against anything over a 180 on that rim) I also fitted a 98 SRAD(gsxr600)rear shock.

More pictures to come as soon as the customer gets back to the shop with the bike..

    Yeah...thats a 1995 katana..lol
