  • 2006 slip on question

I am looking for a slip on exhaust for my 06 750, but a lot of listings I am finding only list 98-05 models or 98-03models. Is there a difference in the 2006? I really like the Vance and Hines SS2R, but I would like to know if it would fit properly.

    Thanks for any help.

Fred is correct, any thing from 98+ will fit. The EPA crap changed in 04, they included a cat in the stock muffler. So an after market slip on will not have that, thus to get by EPA crap, they don't list them for your year. It will fit just fine.

Keep in mind too if you see one listed for a 600, it will fit too.

Another question too. Are most of the aftermarket mid pipes smaller n diameter than the factory pipe. My stock mid pipe is 2.5" and my friends scorpion is like a 2"?

No they are usually the same size. I needed a new gasket connector though with the Scorpion since it moved too much with the old one. You will also need some high temp sealant too so there are no leaks.

Ron Ayers for the gasket €connector and Autozone sells the high temp RTV sealant. It is the red stuff. Let it dry though for at least 24 hours though.
