City-boy on a Busa dressed in black leather riding way too fast through the sticks in Oregon........... this s**t was looking like it would head the "Easy Rider" direction in a hurry.

Tom, I hope you get well soon and can finish your trip. That type of injury can nag at you for a while, but you will be back in no time. I can't wait to read about the finale. The pics on Facebook were appreciated BTW.

Well, where there are rednecks in Oregon but they don't bother anyone, they are grossly out numbered by the extreme left. The left is no worry until you go to pay your taxes, and find they have voted in every half witted program imaginable which we all have to pay for. The other thing they always try to do is ban anything that runs on gas or fires something, from the places they don't live (or if they can't ban they vote in an extra tax on it). They also love adding preditors to places they don't live... ugh I digress..

The Oregon 101 coast from Coos Bay on up to Astoria is the land of lesbians. I-5 from Eugene on up to Portland is far left and as liberal as liberal gets. In the 30's-60's there is was an entire town of socialists (Socialists valley, just west of the State Capital) They realized it would be safer to spread out through Oregon so they wouldn't be targeted during the McCarthy era. Thus we have the Oregon we have today.

The scenery says redneck, the reality is far different. (Its the meth heads and heroin addicts you have to be careful of up here and they are every where especially in down town Portland and out in the sticks, robbing anything parked at trail heads)

Anyway glad you hear you made it back!! I've torn an achillies before and it is (as I'm sure you know) NOT good times.

Nah he was out along I-5. With his affection for Starbucks, he could pull in to one anywhere and get lost in the crowd Suprisingly there are a large amount of sportbike riders especially out in the sticks in OR, that wear full leathers almost anytime they ride. Probably because of the bugs and large animals in the road once you get out in the middle of nowhere. lol
