  • frame sliders

While moving the Kat yesterday I dropped it on the exhaust side. I expected fairing damage, but after picking it up I was pleasantly surprised. The bike came to rest on the bar end and the frame slider. A bit of scuffed paint on both, but no other damage. I mounted the frame slider in the middle of the lower opening.
After seeing the cracked engine side cover from when the previous owner dropped it, I installed the sliders.
Another benefit is the bike doesn't lay flat on the ground - it keeps it a few inches off the ground so it's easier to pick up.
I think it's a worthwhile investment for anyone - If it saves you from a cracked up fairing or starter gear cover just once it more that pays for itself.

    Who made your frame sliders?
Its hard to find them for pre-98 models now, but post-98 sliders may fit the older models.
