Plastic welding how to

One note:

This type of plasic welding
as opposed to using a "real" plastic welding gun,
can dry out the plastic making the
welded area brittle.. So over filling is a good idea.. IMO.. I think... I'm guessing..

i bought a plastic welder from harbor frieght to weld the fairing on my cbr worked great but you need an air compresser welder was $30.00 cheaper then new plastic

I've seen that welder at HF. What CFM does it require? I wouldn't think that much. A cheaper compressor probably would still be cheaper than the $380 a new fairing would cost me.

it uses like 4 to 11 psi i always used about 4 psi seemed to work better also i put a 6 amp dimmer switch on to control the heat a little better

So the airbrush compressor from HF would work? Might have to look into that. Get the airbrush while I'm at it.
